DRIVER PROFILE:

Joe was born in Germany to Iranian parents, at the age of 5 he moved to the US. At the age of 7, he started racing BMX which ignited his passion for competition and he’s been hooked ever since. Through the age of 15 Joe achieved BMX racing at the expert level. He was a crowd favorite being well known for his wild style at the track.

With a passion for racing, the style and aggression of drifting was a natural evolution. In 2012, Joe placed 3rd overall in the Super Am series.  The following year Joe placed 3rd overall in the Sonoma Drift series and the year after that, Joe stepped it up by placing 2nd at Sonoma Summer Jam. Joe was instrumental in creating the Sonoma Drift series during 2009 and is still very much involved today.

Joe is very much dedicated to the drifting community, when he’s not driving he volunteers at Sonoma Raceway, setting up drift courses for Wednesday Night Drift and various reaceway events. Joe lives in sunny Petaluma, California with his wife and Shagy his daughter. He speaks English, Farsi and German.
